Take a few moments to quiet your inner and outer world. Take several deep breaths in and out until you are able to relax your muscles and let the weight of the world slip away.

 

Search for something weighing on your heart, such as a habit to break. Focus on something within yourself, not another. This time is for you.

 

As an example, you find yourself thinking, “I don’t want to gossip anymore.” Yet, when the next person comes your way, you fall back into your old pattern. Firstly, what is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of consciousness under which people become more suggestible to change.

The pioneer or father of modern hypnosis, Milton Erickson, in the 1950s, established that people could be induced into a relaxed or trance-like state, under which they could be subject to post hypnotic suggestions. His work was built upon and expanded by Bandler and Grinder in the 1970s and early 1980s to produce tools to enable use of hypnosis to modify behavior of a person to improve their state of being or to solve problems or undesirable habits.

1. Identify your time-thief’s
Time-thief’s are little activities that steal bits of time that you could be using more productively these little buggers add up quickly during a day with you even knowing it. You must identify these little time wasters, take note of the activities you do during a day – it might be surfing the Internet, checking your email or reading newsfeeds, whatever. Spend one or two days and write down the activities you do – identify those that are thief’s and eliminate them!

2. Create very specific time-oriented goals
You need to face reality – no matter what we do, there will always be only so many hours a day – 24 to be exact! So you need to take specific action now, set your goals to start eliminating these time-thief’s. Make sure you have identified specific ways to eliminate them – just identifying them is not enough. Figure out what works for you – maybe a paper organizer or software on your computer, concisely manage your time. Try using software programs to schedule events and tasks, and set alerts so that you are reminded of them in advance and stick to the schedule as close as you can to manage your time .
